Agrustos uno dei principali borghi di Budoni, si trova sulla costa nord-est della Sardegna, nelle vicinanze della famosa località San Teodoro, in provincia di Sassari e a soli 4 km dal piccolo centro di Budoni . L’attività principale di Agrustos è attualmente il turismo. Il borgo accoglie infatti ogni anno migliaia di turisti attratti sia dal mare sia dall’atmosfera vacanziera e vivace del paese.
Oggi la vita è molto cambiata rispetto a quella di solo pochi decenni fa quando anche Agrustos come quasi tutti i piccoli centri della costa gallurese erano terra di emigrazione. La principale attività economica e fonte di redditto all’inizio del secolo scorso era il lavoro nelle campagne e in particolare l’allevamento di pecore, maiali e vacche. Come molti centri rurali anche Agrustos era abitato da poche famiglie, che lavoravano tutte nell’agricoltura o allevamento.
